Babies
The single most important thing which you can do to help your baby's intellectual progress is to TALK to her!! Your baby has been hearing your voice all the time she was growing in the womb, and it helps her to feel secure. It doesn't matter at all what you say to your baby just so long as she hears and knows the sound of your voice. I have mey some people who rarely talk to their babies because they say they feel silly doing so, but the baby doesn'tthink so!! The more stimulated they are by language, the more they will want to communicate themselves. Babies love to listen to music too, any kind of music, and they especially like their mother to sing to them. You will notice that they were stimulated by rhythm even before they were born, they love to hear rhythmic music, although obviously play or sing gentle music to them at bedtimes. Babies are naturally sociable people and they love to be around people. It is not necessary to stop your social interaction with other people just because of the baby - babies are very portable and are usually very happy to go anywhere that you want to go. Most of all. enjoy your baby! She is a baby for such a short time, it is so important to relish every minute of it! Just have fun with her - you will never regret it! |
